STR·EAT is a whisky bar and bistro in Valletta, with two doors — one on Strait Street and one on Old Theatre Street. Upstairs there is a bar and the terrace. Downstairs, under the vaults, are the whisky bar and the bistro. We have been here since 2013.

Speyside through Islay, and a good deal in between. The list is long on purpose — it is there to be worked through slowly, not admired from across the room.
Ask for something you have never had. That is the whole point of keeping this many.

The warmest room in the building, cut into the rock, and the one to book when the weather turns. Dinner from 17:00 on weeknights and from 13:00 at weekends. The kitchen runs until 23:00.

Downstairs too, next door to the bistro. This is where the single malts live, and the room to take if you want to spend an evening working through them properly rather than ordering once and leaving. Walk in.

Tables out on Strait Street, by the cellar door. Good most of the year — and if the weather turns, we move you inside.

The gold letters face the square, on Old Theatre Street. The other door is black, on Strait Street. They are the same building — terrace and the upstairs bar one way, stairs down to the whisky the other.
